Working Meeting on Promoting EITI

On 15 December 2015, the representatives of the EITI National Secretariat, financial donors, civil society organizations supporting the implementation of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative Standard in Ukraine – the International Renaissance Foundation, DiXi Group Analytical Center and GIZ participated in the working meeting, which took place under the auspices of the MFSI-II.
The participants discussed the plans on promoting the EITI in 2016, including trainings and workshops on the EITI information distribution at the regional level and cooperation with regional authorities, non-governmental partner organizations, business and mass media for employees of winning organizations.
Within the meeting, prior arrangements on donor work coordination were achieved to increase the effect of support, to avoid repetition, to promote dialog between parties of local authorities, non-governmental organizations and extractive companies and to ensure the EITI information distribution among regional mass media by using additional information techniques.
