Building Transparent System of Using Budget Funds with Participation of MFSI-II Project

On 11 February 2016, the Ministry of Finance held a press conference on the topic the One Year after Enactment of the Law of Ukraine 'On Openness in Using the Public Funds': The First Results and Future Plans.
The event was attended by the First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy, representatives of the E-Data: Official Portal of Ukraine's Public Finance Project, MFSI-II Project, representatives of international organizations, the general public and the media.
The participants of the press conference discussed the status of implementation of the Law "On Openness in Using the Public Funds" under which the E-Data portal is operating. Functioning of this portal provides access for the general public to the processes of oversight, creation, distribution , and use of public funds.
The E-Data Project leader made a note of the work of MFSI-II experts in building a system of transparent budgeting in Ukraine, in particular, in delivering a series of training seminars for users of the unified Web-portal in four oblasts. This activity of the MFSI-II Project has become an important step in implementing a fully-fledged system of transparent use of taxpayers' money and reducing corruption in the field of public finance.
