Lviv Residents Learning How to Join the Participatory Budgeting

A training seminar ‘Participation of citizens in the budget process: How to submit and promote projects for implementation of the public budget of the City of Lviv’ was held in Lviv on September the 5th. The event was attended by more than 40 persons.
The seminar was conducted by experts of the Institute for Regional Development NGO as part of implementation o the USAID subgrant under the Municipal Finance Strengthening Initiative (MFSI-II) Roll-out Project intended to provide assistance for implementation of participatory budgeting at the local level in Ukraine.
The organizers have provided recommendations to the idea initiators on how to develop projects, how to present and promote them among the Lviv residents. Also, the seminars have
become a forum for new contacts, collaboration, and consolidation of efforts of local activists.
The Lviv citizens are now able to submit their projects thanks to a user-friendly online system Citizens’ Project developed by the MFSI-II Project, which is available at lviv.pb.org.ua.
