Summing-up first year results of participatory budgeting in Lviv
On November 30, Lviv city administration and USAID project «Municipal Financial Strengthening Initiative” held public hearings on the first year results of the participatory budget implementation in Lviv.  Almost 27 thousand Lviv citizens have voted to identify the best ideas. As the result, 17,529 mln UAH will be spent in 2017 from the city budget to implement 4 big and 63 small winner-projects.
About 50 citizens participated in the open discussion and have made valuable proposals on improving the mechanism of participatory budgeting in their city for the next year. The MFSI-II project will use these recommendations to develop the mechanism of participatory budgeting in other cities.
