PARD NGO Develops Mobile Applications for Participatory Budgeting
21 November 2017

As part of the MFSI-II Project, the Podolian Agency for Regional Development (PARD) NGO has developed mobile applications for evaluating implementation of participatory budgets in four cities: Dnipro, Ternopil, Vilnohirsk, and Zhovti Vody.

The City Budget mobile applications allow monitoring the progress of implementation of citizen budget projects and evaluating their success. The applications will help address the following tasks:

- monitoring of project implementation progress;

- evaluation of completed projects;

- engaging the citizens who were outside the citizens’ budget activities before.

The applications are available for download for iOS and Android platforms. At this time, the applications contain information on the projects already implemented. Later on, city administrators will be able to add new information as their future projects are being implemented. Stickers with the QR application code will replace customary placards on the objects realized in city spaces. This will be an additional promotional tool of citizens’ budget among the citizens.
